OVERALL OBJECTIVE
The purpose of the project is to assist the Government of Albania to strengthen the EU integration process in line with the priorities set out in the SAA, the Enlargement Strategy and the five key priorities as well as to strengthen the capacities of the relevant institutions in the EU harmonisation for the forthcoming screening and accession negotiation processes.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
1. Support the implementation of the obligations deriving from the SAA;
2. Support to the harmonisation implementation and enforcement of the EU acquis in the Albanian legislation;
3. Strengthen the capacity building of the responsible civil servants to enhance their role in the EU legal harmonisation, screening and accession negotiation processes;
4. Support to the implementation of the Albanian government’s EU communication strategy.
ACTIVITIES:
Component 1: Provision of support to MEI and other competent actors for implementation of SAA obligations
Component 2: Provision of support for harmonization, implementation and enforcement of the EU acquis in the Albanian legislation
Component 3: Capacity Building of civil servants to enhance their role in EU legal harmonization, screening and negotiation process and improvement of coordination structure for EU integration process.
Component 4: Provision of support for implementation of the Government’s EU Communication Strategy
