PROJECT TITLE: AGIS Project DIANA – Comparative Study of the Anticorruption Systems within the Competencies of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Europe
COUNTRIES: EU Member States
OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To bridge the communication and information gap between national audit institutions in the EU and to bring forth the best institutional structures and practices applied by national audit institutions in the fight against corruption in the review of public contracts, with views to replicating successful anticorruption mechanisms.
ACTIVITIES:
The project included:
- A Comparative study on the anticorruption systems within the competencies of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Europe;
- A kick-off meeting of the steering committee and the representatives of the partner institutions took place at the commencement of the project;
- National reports were prepared, whereby general conclusions and assessments were presented;
- A Conference was organized in Athens, during which reporters presented their national reports on their countries’ structures and experience, and the results of the synthesis study were presented;
- The final action of the project was a publication containing the research papers and the outcomes of the project.
