The Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument (TAIEX) of the Directorate-General Enlargement of the European Commission organized a workshop on “Parliamentary Committees Functioning and the Experience in the Approximation of the Acquis” on 20-21 May in Yerevan, Armenia. The workshop consisted of lectures, presented by senior experts from EU Member States’ Parliaments, namely, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, as well as an expert from the Latvian Ministry of Justice.
The workshop aimed at providing information on the EU MSs Parliaments, their structures and administrative procedures and on the role of the National Parliaments in the approximation with the EU legislation. Mr. Panos Gredis, representative of the EPLO in Brussels, assumed the role of the chairman in the workshop.
