The EPLC organized an international conference on "Public Administration in Modern Times: Challenges and Perspectives" from 24 to 25 of April 2009 at the Hotel Chris and Eve, Komotini, Greece. Conference panelists included eminent scholars and experts in the field of public administration from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, while welcoming speeches were given by Mr. Dimitrios Kotsakis, Mayor of Komotini, Mr. Christos Papanikolaou, Mayor of Maroneia and Mr. George Kimparidis, president of the Rodopi Bar Association. The conference was co-funded by Hellenic Aid of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the framework of the project KIKONES: Training of Balkan and Black Sea States Representatives on the Rule of Law and Democracy.
