On 4 November 2013, the EPLO organized a roundtable discussion on the topic “Economic Growth and Environmental Protection” at its Headquarters in Athens.
During the discussion, the obstacles of the legal framework regarding environmental protection were presented. The event was an initiative by Prof. Glykeria Sioutis, Professor of Administrative and Environmental Law at the National and Capodistrian University of Athens, who also had its scientific coordination. Speakers included Mrs. Dora Bakoyannis, Deputy of Territory of ND Party and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Voutsis, Deputy A’ Athens of SYRIZA and Secretary of SYRIZA-EKM, Mr. Nikos Androulakis, Secretary of Central Political Committee PASOK, Mr. Makis Papadopoulos, Member of Central Committee C.P.G., person in charge of the Department of Economy, Mr. Menelaos Daskalakis, General Secretary of Telecommunications and Posts, as well as Prof. Glykeria Sioutis, National and Capodistrian University of Athens.
