The EPLO in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized a study visit of Azeri delegates in Greece on 12 - 18 September 2006, within the framework of the Project “COLCHIS- Training of Jurists on the Rule of Law and Support of the Necessary Legal Reforms in Azerbaijan”. The Azeri delegation consisted of the Deputy Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan, Mr. Toghrul Musayev, and the Senior Adviser of the department of International Legal Cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, Mr. Hasan Baghirov.
The Azeri delegation had meetings with the Secretary General of the Greek Ministry of Justice, Mr. Panagiotis Panouris, with the President of the Hellenic Council of the State, Mr. Georgios Panagiotopoulos, with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior Public Administration and Decentralization, Mr. Vassilios Andronopoulos, and the Inspectors-Controllers body for the Public Administration at the aforementioned Ministry, and finally, with representatives of the Office of the Greek Ombudsman.
The Azeri delegation also participated in the international conference on “Citizenship in the European Union”, organized by the EPLO on 15 - 17 September 2006.
