The EPLO, in collaboration with its local partners BCCP, Odhikar and ODPUP, organized the 2nd seminar on “Political parties and people’s representation”, within the framework of the Project “DEMOS - Democratic Elections Motivation, Orientation and Support”.
The speakers in this event included representatives from Portugal and Sweden.
The audience consisted mainly of the state authorities, NGO representatives, jurists, academics, and students.
The event featured presentations and discussion on the following issues:
- Types of representation, people, interests, nationalities, religious groups or minorities
- Political campaigns in democratic electoral systems
- Panorama of the political parties in Bangladesh
- The financing of political parties in Bangladesh
