The EPLC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized the second round of seminars, within the framework of Project “COLCHIS - Training of Jurists on the Rule of Law and Support of the Necessary Legal Reforms in Azerbaijan”.
The speakers in this round of seminars included distinguished jurists, namely, judges from the administrative First Instance Courts of Athens, as well as the attorney-at-law and deputy legal advisor of the EPLO / EPLC.
The audience consisted mainly of judicial candidates of the National School of Judges of the Republic of Azerbaijan and staff of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The following issues were discussed during this round of seminars.
- The role and the mission of the independent Judge at contemporary society
- Use of lapse of time criteria in courts. Property rights particularly, right of possession and right of disposal
Ms. E. Lyristi, EPLO / EPLC Deputy Legal Advisor, represented the EPLC in the aforementioned seminars.
