The EPLO, in collaboration with the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform in Lebanon, organized the first seminar on “Better Regulation”, within the framework of the Project “ALEXIOS - Administrative Reform in Lebanon”.
The speakers in this event included representatives from the Department for Quality and Efficiency and the General Directorate for Administrative Organization and Procedures of the Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization of Greece and from the Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki.
The audience consisted of 10 Lebanese civil servants from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Energy and Water, the Ministry of Industry, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Council of State.
The following issues were discussed during the seminar:
- Principles and Mechanisms of Legislative Reform
- Regulation Quality Principles
- Evaluation of the European Strategy towards the Simplification of the regulatory environment
- Regulatory impact assessment in Greece
The Lebanese civil servants also had the opportunity to visit the Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization of Greece and the Council of State.
