EPLO is currently seeking trainees for its eight (8) month International Traineeship Program.
Duty Station: Athens, Greece and Rome, Italy.
The Traineeship Program will be implemented at the EPLO headquarters in Athens and at the EPLO Office in Rome and is divided into two phases:
Phase 1: Three (3) months of intensive training at the EPLO headquarters in Athens.
During this phase the trainees will be acquainted with the organizational and administrative structure of the Organization and will be assigned with administrative and other tasks by their Department/Office supervisors.
Phase 2: Five (5) months of training at the EPLO Office in Rome.
During this phase the trainees will:
• Support the Director and the Administrative Director of the Office.
• Perform the daily administrative tasks of the Office.
• Assist in preparing, organizing, and reporting on all activities of the Office.
• Provide administrative support to events, conferences, committees, meetings, workshops, etc.
• Assist in the implementation of academic and educational activities of the Office.
• Support the Office in its communication needs.
• Be assigned specific tasks by their Department/Office supervisors.
Required qualifications:
• A University degree from an accredited academic institution in any field, preferably in Law, Political Science, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations or a related field, or a Master’s degree in one of the above fields.
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills in English.
• Computer proficiency in standard software applications (MS Office, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and a strong sense of thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Knowledge of one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian, Slovak, or Polish, will be considered an asset.
• Experience in an international and multi-cultural environment will be considered an asset.
The EPLO International Traineeship Program is addressed to graduates with a Bachelor or a Master’s degree preferably, but not exclusively, in the academic fields mentioned above who want to make their first professional steps in an international organization and work with a highly qualified team. The Traineeship Program is paid and physical presence in the Office is required.
Upon the completion of the Traineeship Program, the performance of the trainees will be evaluated and a job may be offered, according to the needs of the EPLO Rome Office.
