The EPLO, in collaboration with the University of Trento - Law School, organized the first seminar on “International Regional Jurisdictions for the Protection of Human Rights: The European Court for Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights Compared”, within the framework of the Project “ALFA II DIKIA II: Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights of Citizens - the European and American Convention on Human Rights”.
The speakers in this event included representatives from all partner institutions, namely: Queen’s University of Belfast, Universidad de Barcelona, Università degli Studi di Trento, National and Capodistrian University of Athens, Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala, Universidad Externado, Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga and Universidad de Concepcion.
The audience consisted mainly of pre-graduate and post-graduate law students of the University of Trento’s Law School and some of the project’s Latin American grant-holders hosted in the European Universities and members of the DIKIA network.

- Conventions on Human Rights and Democratic Transition
- Social and Economic Rights in the European Court of Human Rights
- Compliance with the IACHR’s resolution: the case of Chile
